The distribution exercise, held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, forms part of the Assembly’s ongoing commitment to eliminating furniture deficits in schools and creating a more conducive learning environment for students.

Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Takoro said the intervention is aimed at enhancing teaching and learning by ensuring that students have access to adequate classroom furniture, thereby promoting dignity and comfort in the learning process.

He noted that education remains a key priority of the Assembly’s development agenda, stressing that strategic investments in the sector are essential to improving access to quality education and nurturing the next generation of leaders.

The Mayor also reaffirmed the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly’s unwavering commitment to supporting the education sector, assuring residents that more transformative development projects will be rolled out to improve public service delivery, enhance the welfare of citizens, and accelerate the socio-economic development of the Tamale Metropolis.
