Media outlet Nobyah TV/FM 98.1, one of the leading local broadcasters serving communities across the North East Region, was severely affected by a destructive fire in the early hours of Saturday, resulting in the complete destruction of its premises.
According to the station’s management, the fire consumed all broadcasting equipment, studio facilities, transmission systems, and other critical logistical assets, rendering the station unable to operate. As a result, all broadcasting activities have been suspended indefinitely.

Firefighters responded promptly to the scene and battled the blaze for over an hour before successfully bringing it under control. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
The General Manager of Nobyah TV/FM 98.1, Mr. Yaw Boakye Jadam, stated that the cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. He also noted that a comprehensive assessment of the damages and losses is currently underway to determine the full extent of the impact.

The station has been a vital source of news and entertainment for communities across the region, and its temporary shutdown is a significant loss for local residents.
