Manhalia Islamic School fights back against online claims, backs current head

97

Manhalia Arabic and English School has issued a strong response to allegations circulating online, describing them as baseless and calling on the public to stop sharing unverified information that could damage the school’s reputation.

According to the school’s leadership, the institution was founded in 1972 by the late Sheikh Mohammed Issah Bello, who began teaching a small group of students in his home. As enrollment increased, the school moved from the compound into formal classrooms and has since grown to serve more than 700 students.

Officials said Sheikh Mohammed Issah Bello was committed to quality education and to shaping students into responsible, productive members of society. The name “Manhalia”, they explained, symbolizes a source of knowledge and reflects the school’s focus on academic excellence, moral values and personal development.

The school also addressed disputes over its administration, confirming that Sheikh Hussein Haalid Jeemah is the current head of Manhalia Islamic School and that his appointment was made through the institution’s proper leadership procedures. Claims that he assumed the role without authorization were dismissed as false.

School authorities said they are united in support of the current leadership and are fully aware of the administration’s decisions and activities. They urged social media users and the public to verify information before making claims about the school and reiterated their commitment to protecting the institution’s reputation while continuing to provide quality education.
