A delegation from Radio Tamale has paid a courtesy call on Naa Bapri Lamashe Naa (Naa Mahamudu Iddrisu) at his palace in Lamashegu today, April 30, 2026, to formally invite the Chief to the station’s 10th anniversary celebration.

The traditional ruler warmly welcomed the committee and received them with respect and cordiality. The delegation also took the opportunity to congratulate him on his recent ascension to the throne as chief of Lamashegu.

Naa Bapri Lamashe Naa makes GH¢1,000 Education Donation

During the visit, Naa Bapri Lamashe Naa reaffirmed his strong commitment to education, stressing that it remains his top priority.

Education is my priority because it made some of us who we are today, he said.

As a demonstration of this commitment, the chief has donated GH¢1,000 to each junior high school (JHS) in the Lamashegu community to motivate students and promote academic excellence.

The chief explained that the donation serves as a token of his pledge to strengthen quality of education in the area. He also revealed plans to partner with the Metro Education Director to monitor school activities and reward high-performing students and teachers.

Several students and teachers were present at the palace seeking the chief’s blessings and support, underscoring the community’s appreciation for his educational initiatives.

Naa Bapri Lamashe Naa praised hardworking students and teachers while cautioning against laziness, promising continued motivation for those excelling academically.
