Tamale, 24 May 2026 — A prominent businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Fuzak, has donated 450 dual desks to Ambariyya Islamic School in Tamale, a gift organisers say will benefit more than 1,000 pupils.

The furniture was presented at a ceremony on Saturday, where Mr. Tahiru Habib Verron, acting on behalf of Alhaji Fuzak, said the donation fulfilled a pledge the businessman made during the recent commissioning of a two‑storey classroom block for the school.

This contribution is part of an ongoing commitment to bolster educational infrastructure and create a better learning environment, Mr. Verron told guests.

Receiving the items, Sheikh Tanko, Vice‑President of the Anbariya Sunni Community, thanked Alhaji Fuzak for his sustained support and prayed for blessings on the donor and his family. Community leaders said the desks will ease overcrowding in classrooms and improve teaching and learning conditions across the school.

The donation follows other major interventions by Alhaji Fuzak, who recently completed and handed over a modern two‑storey classroom block at Ambariyya. He has also laid the sod for a one‑storey library and ICT centre, and provided two mechanised boreholes and a urinal pit to improve water supply and sanitation on campus.

School officials and community members welcomed the latest gift as part of a wider effort to strengthen Islamic education in the locality, and urged other private actors to support similar projects aimed at improving access to quality learning.
